Cookie Policy

    Last updated: March 4, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how ArtisansVillage ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our platform. By continuing to use ArtisansVillage, you consent to the use of cookies as described below.

    What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and activity, making your experience smoother and more personalized.

    Cookies We Use

ArtisansVillage uses a minimal set of cookies, focused on functionality rather than advertising. We use the following types:

    Essential / Authentication Cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They manage your login session, keep you authenticated as you navigate between pages, and maintain security. Without these cookies, features like signing in, managing your profile, and submitting forms would not work. These are set by our authentication provider, Supabase.

    Preference Cookies

We use local storage to remember your preferences such as theme settings (light/dark mode) and shopping cart contents. These improve your experience by preserving your choices between visits.

    Functional Cookies

Certain cookies support platform features like remembering which artisans you follow, your notification preferences, and email subscription settings. These enable a personalized experience without being used for advertising.

    Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers. Where embedded content (such as Instagram posts) is displayed, those services may set their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies.

    How Long Do Cookies Last?

Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies, such as those used for authentication and preferences, remain on your device until they expire or you manually delete them. Authentication tokens typically expire after a set period for security purposes, at which point you will be asked to sign in again.

    Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or remove cookies, but please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using core features of ArtisansVillage such as signing in and submitting forms.

To learn how to manage cookies in your browser, visit your browser's help documentation or go to allaboutcookies.org.
